Basic Definition: A Preferred Supplier List (PSL) in terms of recruitment is a list of preferred or approved recruitment agencies or service providers that a client has selected to work with in order to fill job vacancies. A PSL is typically compiled by a client as a result of a comprehensive evaluation of recruitment agencies, taking into account factors such as expertise, quality of service, response times, fees, and industry knowledge. Once a recruitment agency is included on a client’s PSL, they become the preferred or exclusive supplier of recruitment services for that client and are given priority over other agencies in the recruitment process. A PSL helps clients streamline their recruitment process, increase efficiency, and ensure that they work with the best-suited recruitment agencies for their needs. It also benefits recruitment agencies by providing them with a secure source of business and a deeper understanding of the client’s needs and expectations.
